If you're a candy cane fan, or an ice cream fan, you're going to love today's recipe. It's a really easy Christmas-inspired milkshake. Ice cream is one of my favorite treats, all year round. And peppermint is my second-favorite Christmas flavor (my first favorite is eggnog!).

The recipe starts with peppermint ice cream, but I know that can be hard to find. For some reason, none of the big ice cream brands seem to make it. You can make your own, or you can start with vanilla ice cream and add some peppermint extract.

If you like some texture in your milkshake, you can add some of the crushed candy canes to the blender. I like the contrast of smooth milkshake with crunchy topping, so I left mine solely for garnish.

This is a fun holiday treat that kids and adults alike will love. So, pull on a comfy blanket, pop on a holiday movie, and sip on a candy cane crunch milkshake!
